What the account is for
Your licence and downloads. The software you bought and the key that activates it, in one place you can get back to.
Your Hangar. Every airframe your display has seen, with how often and how close. It is a browsing thing — scrolling, sorting, searching — and none of that works on a screen across a room with no keyboard.
Pinned aircraft. Airframes the display keeps showing whether they are overhead or not.
What it is not
It is not required. The display is a local install and works with this site switched off, permanently. Nothing here is a subscription keeping your screen alive, and if this site disappeared in 2031 every display sold would carry on exactly as it does today.
Registering interest on the main site is a mailing list, not an account. If you used the same address, the two are joined the first time you sign in.
Your Hangar is private. There is no public view and no sharing in this version, and the display never uploads where it is — only how far away an aircraft came, which is a distance and not a place.
